ETHICS & EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE -

AN ONLINE 3 HOUR, 3 CE CLASS PRESENTED BY DR. STEVE WOLF

The underlying goal for this 3 CCAPP credit Ethics & Emotional Intelligence program is to reduce the incidence of unethical behaviors by addressing consequences of living out of alignment with one’s own ethical principles.

This program addresses Ethics from a point of view that understands unethical behaviors as more likely to occur when counselors are unaware of or do not know how to deal with stresses, anxiety and the vicarious trauma they experience in the normal course of doing their job working with traumatized clients. Unlike most ethics classes, the Ethics & Emotional Intelligence class emphasizes that emotional self-care and anxiety management results in more conscious decision making and fewer ethical violations. When counselors are more aware of and learn to reduce their stress and anxiety they are less likely to engage in unethical behavior.

This is a Two-Part Class:

During the first half of this three-hour ethics program we will explore the relationship between Ethics, Emotional Intelligence, Vicarious Trauma, Anxiety and unethical behaviors.

The second half of this workshop is an experiential presentation of this Taming Your Anxiety Program to reduce stress and anxiety.
